I&E Nutrition Services, Inc. ("I&E," "we," "us") provides medical nutrition therapy by referral from a patient's physician or healthcare provider, primarily through telehealth, to patients in California. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information connected with ienutriserve.com and information we receive by phone, fax, email, and text message.

Health information: Protected health information (PHI) related to your care is governed by HIPAA and California law and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. If this policy and the Notice ever conflict regarding PHI, the Notice controls.

This website does not accept patient health information. Our website has no contact forms, sign-in, or online booking. Please do not email medical information.

Information we collect
- When you contact us: if you call or email us, we receive the information you choose to give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, and your question.
- Referral and care information: information your referring provider sends us (by secure fax), and information you share with us to schedule, provide, and bill for your care (such as contact details and insurance information).
- Automatic information: our website host (GoDaddy) uses cookies and similar technologies to measure site traffic and improve the website.

- To schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments
- To provide care and coordinate with your referring provider
- To process insurance claims and payments

How we share information
We share information only:
- With your referring provider and others involved in your care, as permitted by law
- With your health plan, for billing and coverage
- With service providers who help us operate (such as telehealth, phone/text, billing, and website services), who are required to protect your information and, where they handle PHI, have signed business associate agreements
- When required by law, or to protect health and safety

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy
- How consent is collected: We ask for permission to text you by phone during intake after your provider's referral (verbal consent, recorded by our staff) and/or on our signed intake form. We do not collect text message consent through this website.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- All text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
- If you opt in, you may receive appointment reminders and scheduling and rescheduling messages. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not include health information in texts.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or call (951) 824-9155.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services.

Email and website security
Regular email is not encrypted end-to-end. Please do not send medical information by email. We will contact you through a secure method when health information is needed. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message, or call us.
- Email: ask us to stop emailing you at info@ienutriserve.com.
- Cookies: you can manage cookies in your browser settings.
- Review or update your information: contact us using the information below. Your rights for health information are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Do Not Track: our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Care for minors is arranged with a parent or guardian.
